Pre Deployment Screening & Briefing

The Antares Foundation Inc. (Australia) offers services in assisting organizations and deployees to identify

  • knowledge of contextual stressors
  • current status of mental health
  • personality
  • hardiness
  • impact of prior experience
  • interpersonal style (including managing conflict & cross cultural relationships)
  • stress management and coping approaches
  • self-care practices
  • support resources
as well as how well suited a deployee's profile may be to the context of deployment.

This type of screening also assists organizations and individuals to identify areas of an individual's functioning that may require focused attention for self care or further preparation. It can also assist an organization to develop a baseline organizational monitoring plan with the deployee prior to deployment.

The Psychological Screening approach adopted is designed to educate and support both the deployee's Manager as well as the deployee him/herself.

The screening process is enhanced by additional information provided prior to the screening such as:

  • the context and nature of the deployment;
  • a description by the organization of the preferred human characteristics that are deemed to best match working in the context and
  • input as to the stress mitigation plan and the plan for monitoring a delegate's wellbeing.

A report is provided to the organization within 7-10 days following completion of the screening and briefing interview.

The initial psychological assessment takes 1.5 - 2.0 hours to complete by the deployee. This is followed by a screening & briefing interview which usually is completed after 1.5 hours.

The cost of the screening, briefing and report is AUD $ 610 + GST.
